Millennium Challenge Account – Mongolia (MCA-Mongolia) is a state-owned entity established by Government Resolution No 297, dated October 2018. MCA-Mongolia is established to implement the Mongolia Water Compact signed with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), a U.S. government foreign aid agency.
To support Compact closure activities, particularly the archiving of Compact-related documentation, MCA-Mongolia is announcing an Internship position to provide administrative support within this scope. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Administration and relevant specialists, the Intern will assist the Administration Unit by performing supporting tasks only related to archiving and records management.
The duration of the internship is two (2) months. Interns will work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on workload and operational needs. A meal and transportation allowance of MNT 50,000 per day (net) will be provided.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support in scanning and digitizing archival documents in accordance with the MCA-Mongolia’s Document management and archiving policy under supervision;
- Assist in handling of duplicate, outdated, or non-essential documents and support their disposal in compliance with records-management policies, under the guidance of the responsible specialist;
- Support the sorting and arrangement of physical files in preparation for transfer to the National Archiving Center, following instructions from supervising staff;
- Provide general administrative support related to archiving as assigned and under supervision.
The profile:
Third- or final-year students in bachelor's degree studies, who are bilingual and available to work on a flexible schedule, with the following minimum qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
- Experienced in using office machines: scanner, copier, shredder
- Good command of English;
- Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, proactive and detail-oriented;
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours and up to 40 hours per week.
